Have you ever gone to a big box store and been completely disappointed? Are you looking for something original but won’t know it until you see it? Creativity and entrepreneurship are what the American economy is founded upon but in rural New York State, it can be difficult to shop local without going to ten different places. That’s why vendor Shoppes and co-ops are so valuable to local communities. Independent vendors and artists have a level of character not found in chain stores, and bring their personal experience, skills and creativity into their product offerings.

The Shoppes at Johnny Appleseed has spent four years cultivating and elevating our vendors’ work to be seen and appreciated as part of our whole destination experience. With over 55 vendors in one expansive space, customers can enjoy going from room to room in search of something personal and inspired.

We have high standards when accepting vendors, which means you won’t find anything that resembles a flea market or garage sale here. We carry primitive, handmade, seasonal, ceramic, furniture, new clothing, a plethora of soaps, candles of every scent, jewelry, vinyl records, a blend of unique art, food items, honey, maple syrup and candy, antiques, birdhouses, pottery, wreaths, woodwork, cat & dog apparel, glass, metal, industrial, yarn and thread, cutting boards, wind chimes, lamps, exercise equipment, musical instruments, and we also have a man cave! On weekends you will find the Apple Kitchen open from 12-4 offering homemade soups, sandwiches on the grill, and desserts along with NYS wines and craft brews. Chef Patrick is ready to serve you his famous Monte Cristo Sandwich, or one of his coveted homemade soups.

Johnny Appleseed is just outside of Cazenovia, right off historic Route 20. You can shop, eat and explore year-round, Wednesday through Sunday. Our Apple Kitchen is open weekends, with a sunny view of a pond and rolling hills in the background.
We are also wheelchair friendly.
