The Station Creamery Ice Cream Shop

The Station Creamery Ice Cream Shop

The Station Creamery Ice Cream Shop located at 62 West Main Street in Dryden (same building as Specialty Trophy & Award Shop) opened in May and was something Paul and Vicki Best had always wanted to do. The pandemic gave them the opportunity to pursue their dream since their trophy shop was pretty much shut down. Vicki’s sister, Bonnie Whipple, also thought it would be a good idea so she encouraged her and became my partner. The Station Creamery serves your favorite ice cream including flurries, sundaes, Upstate Custard for soft serve, Purity ice cream, specialty sundaes and more. Including “the train wreck” – 10 scoops of purity ice cream, 1 brownie, 1 chocolate chip cookie, 3 sauces, 4 toppings, whipped cream and a cherry. We are already adding new flavors of sundaes and milkshakes and we value customer recommendations.

We were excited to work with Heather and Bruce Lane at Purity. Heather is a Dryden Alumni and it is very special to us to offer her ice cream in Dryden. Our goal is to become a place to sit down, relax and enjoy some ice cream. We will be adding more and more outside activities and are hoping to be able to offer small gatherings for outdoor movies on the trail. It has been great watching people get ice cream and walk the trail, and we would like to keep the history of the rail road and Dryden in our shop. We have some old pictures of the railroads and I would like to add more throughout the store. People come in and look at the map of the Lehigh Valley train system and some of the old pictures of Harford, Dryden and Freeville rail stations.

Stop by Monday – Thursday 1-9, Friday & Saturday 11-10 and Sunday is 11-7. Remember to bring your furry friend for a “pup cup”. There is window service on the side of the building as well as counter service inside and there are picnic tables outside to enjoy your treats.
