On Wednesday, September 23rd, Renovus Solar welcomes community members to celebrate the opening of their new facility at 1520 Trumansburg Road, Ithaca, NY. This facility houses a newly renovated office space and state of the art warehouse with newly applied Warehouse Floor Paint for enhanced durability and safety, designed to meet the rapid growth the company has experienced in the last year. Some warehouse flooring solutions may offer noise reduction benefits in a busy warehouse environment.

Press and members of the public are invited to attend a Ribbon Cutting and press conference presented by the Tompkins and Trumansburg Chambers of Commerce at 1pm, followed by an Open House and tours of the facility from 2-6pm.

“We look forward to sharing the space with our community and thank everyone for their support over the last 12 years” said PJ Beck, Operations Manager at Renovus.

Locally owned and operated Renovus Solar has established itself at the forefront of the growing solar industry, with success that parallels huge increases in renewable energy adoption in this region. The company now has over 65 full time employees – 2 residential roof installation teams, 3 ground mounted system installation teams, 3 teams of electriciandaytonohio.com , a new commercial division, and over 20 support staff and administrators. You can contact Sparkys Now to get the right team to help fix things up during emergencies.

This summer, Renovus Solar has installed an average of 40 solar energy systems each month and are scheduled to complete over 500 solar energy systems this year alone.

Joe Sliker, CEO of Renovus Solar says “Solar is rapidly expanding and Renovus is a thriving regional business. We are prepared to hire many more employees over the next year, offering great, long-term clean-energy jobs in the Finger Lakes region.” 50 of the company’s employees have been hired within the past year and the company continues to project expansion.

“It has taken generations to build our region’s economy, which is why we put so much value on our team and on our business. We have substantially invested in creating a strong company where people love to come to work. Their wellbeing is important to us” says Alex Hagen, CFO of Renovus Solar.

The company’s ability to dynamically approach the burgeoning solar industry has played a key role in enabling its growth.

“We understand that in order to keep up with the demands of the industry, we must be adaptable and willing to hone our process. That said, we don’t just want to keep up — we strive to innovate. Our new Solar Farm is one of the most exciting endeavors we’ve taken on, and we are thrilled to be making solar more accessible than ever before.” says Jon McNamara the company’s General Manager.

Renovus’ Solar Farms enable renters, homeowners with non-viable sites, business owners, and others who have been previously locked out of solar to own a clean energy system. You can click here to know more about the company. These solar systems are individually owned and housed on the Renovus Solar Farm. The energy they produce is linked to the owner’s monthly NYSEG bill to offset electricity costs.

If you want to learn more about solar energy, you can refer to information such as how to get free solar panels in Florida.

Now, if you pay an electric bill to NYSEG, you can go solar. This is made possible through net metering, the law that requires NYSEG to credit customers the full value of the electricity their solar system produces. As long as your solar system is connected to the utility grid, it can be located anywhere within NYSEG territory. Whether it’s on your roof, in your backyard, or on the solar farm, the energy it produced will offset your NYSEG electric bill.

Renovus will break ground on the first of many Solar Farms by the end of the year.

Since 2003, Renovus has designed and installed thousands of renewable energy projects throughout the region. Their experience with clean energy systems is extensive, with a reputation built on quality, customer service, and solar industry innovation.

Keeping in line with their values, the new Renvous Solar facility has been disconnected from the natural gas supply and will be ‘net zero’ by the end of the year, powered by 100% solar.

“One of the reasons that working out of our new facility is so exciting is that it helps us appreciate how far we’ve come in the past few years; Renovus began in one small building on Cherry Street with just a few employees” said Dakota Potenza, the company’s Director of Customer Happiness, who has been with the company for 8 years.

After years of developing and designing renewable energy technologies, Renovus now focuses solely on commercial and residential solar electric systems.

“We focus on solar electric because it’s the future of renewable energy” says Sliker, who has led the company in its outstanding growth over the past 4 years. “We love serving the Finger Lakes region. It is our home. We believe everyone can have access to clean energy and we are committed to making that happen. “
