3rd Annual Verne Morton Memorial Photography Show & Contest

Posted by  //  August 9, 2011  //  News

What do you see when you look at a photograph? Verne Morton SAW beauty in the everyday views right outside his door, the common labors of his neighbors, and the creatures who shared his world. Because of his unique ability to capture what he saw, Verne Morton has often been referred to as “a photographer who made the commonplace compelling.” Photography has always been about really seeing everything with wide-open eyes and the desire to capture a special moment in time, a stunning vista or a deep feeling, and share it with others. Really seeing also makes us feel, and because of this there are no superior or inferior photographs, only unique photographs.

We encourage you to LOOK with wide-open eyes at the many unique photographs in our 3rd Annual Show as well as the artistry of Verne Morton. When you leave the show, we urge you REALLY SEE that there is beauty all around you. Next, we invite YOU next year to enter your own unique photograph because once you SEE, you will also gain the ability to make the commonplace compelling.
