July 16 – The Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor – Tribute Ride
In July 2009 Gov. Patterson signed into law – for the first time and the only time in New York State – a State highway dedicated to the men and women who served in Vietnam. New York State Route 38 is now designated as the New York State Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor.
The Vietnam Veterans of America, Chapters 377, 480 and 704, Chapter 17 – The Blue Knights Motorcycle Club will be holding the “3rd Annual Vietnam Veterans Memorial Highway of Valor – Tribute Ride.”
The ride will begin at 10am on Saturday, July 16, 2011 at Marvin Park, Owego, NY. The 98 mile ride will end in the village of Fair Haven and the ride is open to the public. Please register between 8 and 9:45am the day of the ride.
The ride will make one stop in the Village of Groton for food and gas and then proceed north again where the ride will end in the Village of Fair Haven, where once again there will be food and entertainment.
