Thanksgiving is right around the corner, so what better time to talk turkey – or, better yet, sing a fun tune that celebrates the Holiday Season’s favorite bird. You can sing the lyrics of this silly, lighthearted song to the melody of “My Darlin’ Clementine.” Make sure to share it with your young children or grandkids, who are sure to get a kick out of it. I know I did!
Albuquerque Turkey
Albuquerque is a turkey,
And he’s feathered and he’s fine.
And he wobbles and he gobbles,
And he’s absolutely mine.
He’s the best pet you can get,
Better than a dog or cat.
He’s my Albuquerque turkey,
And I’m awfully proud of that.
Albuquerque is a turkey
And he’s happy in his bed.
‘Cause for our Thanksgiving dinner,
We’ll have pizza pie instead!
