Creature Feature – Don’t Forget Them…

‘Tis the season of love and joy

Of gifts for every girl and boy.

Of tinseled trees and candlelight

To brighten winter’s darkest nights.

More cookies, hugs, and kisses too

As loved ones gather, old and new.

But as we wait for Santa Claus,

Let’s not forget those who have paws.

Our cats and dogs, and others who

May tweet or twitter, neigh, or moo.

Those that slither, swim, or crawl,

They’re family too, God bless them all.

So as you bake and shop and prep,

Remember Ginger, Max, and Shep.

Some extra loving, treats, or toys

For Mother Nature’s girls and boys.

Their gifts to us will never be

Wrapped in splendor ‘neath the tree.

But what they give is oh, so dear,

Their faithful love each day, all year.
