October 17 – Spring Bulbs: Three Months of Bloom

Plan for 3 months of spring bulb bloom, in time for fall planting. This class will cover different bulb varieties, planting and growing tips, and suggestions for using bulbs in the landscape. Handouts will include a list of deer-resistant bulbs. There will also be a demonstration and handout on how to pot up bulbs for forcing. Spring Bulbs: Three Months of Bloom will be held Mon. Oct. 17, 6:30-8:30 pm at the Tompkins County Cornell Cooperative Extension Education Center, 615 Willow Avenue, Ithaca. Fee: $5-$10, self-determined sliding scale; pre-registration preferred to assure enough handouts. Please call 272-2292 for more information or registration.
