6:30pm to 7:30pm, Cortland Free Library,32 Church Street in Cortland. Want to grow your own food but don’t have the time or space to maintain a garden? Container Gardening is for you. Container gardening is perfect for apartments, porches, window frames and other small spaces. Forget to water your plants? Don’t worry; self-watering containers can hold moisture for weeks at a time. The mysteries will be unveiled: learn what plants do well in containers and how many you can fit in a small space, learn how to make your own self-watering container gardens customized to your needs and see examples. The workshop is free but REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED. Stay after class and make your own container garden for $5.00.
