Microding is about Spending time with Family

The Finger Lakes Microd Club’s track Little Wheels Speedways located just off the corners of Rts. of 38 & 34B, is’ the sport of Microding’s Premiere Facility.  It is a picturesque setting with all of it’s beautiful shade trees, lush landscaped lawn, and well kept buildings. The Track has microds families can rent. The club is offering a mid-season special to join now and finish out the season with us! For costs and to schedule a try-out call 607-898-3313. A full season costs $500.00 with 15 race dates, (May thru September) that’s a lot of racing!  A lot more information is available on the club’s web page including History of the club, How microding got started, schedules of races, directions to the track, and much more. Our Web Site is: www.littlewheels.org .  The Club owns Microds with hand controls, to accommodate children with disabilities. This idea that a organization would take the time and have the desire to be that inclusive is not only unique but something you don’t see much of these days.  Another unique thing about this club is the fellow that started it in 1983 is still president 29 years later. In talking to A.J. Burgess (the Founder) I found “it not about winning” like soo….many racing organizations are these days. (their Mission Statement is called “The Burgess Doctrine” and can be found on their web page) The emphasis is on parents spending time with their children, in a nice atmosphere doing something they both enjoy! With a secondary emphasis on learning how to deal with break downs and disappointments, which is part of life let alone, Microd Racing!
