The Cortland County RSVP program is sponsoring its first ever Food Pantry Challenge to benefit the Nutrition Program’s Helping Hands Food Pantries. The Challenge will run from March 25th through April 5th and RSVP volunteers will be ready to accept donations of non-perishable food items at each of the senior centers from 11 am to 1 pm., however, donations can be dropped off at any time during the centers’ hours of operation.
The Helping Hands Food Pantries are located at 60 Central Ave., and the Willet and Truxton Senior Centers. In 2012, over 33,336 meals were provided to needy residents of Cortland County. With your help, we can do more. The RSVP Challenge is running in conjunction with the Feinstein Challenge which will match the donations received.
