March 15 – Responding to Community Lostt
Posted by Dustin Horton // March 11, 2012 // Calendar of Events
6:30 at Dryden High School Auditorium
Grief and sorrow touches all members of our community after a loss by suicide or unexpected death. Suicide Prevention and Crisis Service and the Dryden School District welcomes everyone to a free, public gathering to learn how to be a part of a county-wide suicide prevention effort and how to help those most deeply touched by loss through suicide. Teens and adults are welcome.
Program will include Dr. Melanie Puorto-Conte, Director of Suicide Prevention Initiative for the New York State Office of Mental Health, and Debra Graham, Central New York area director for the American Federation of Suicide Prevention. Local mental health organizations will provide information about their services during a reception that follows the program.
