Sustainable Cortland will be hosting a series of book discussions entitled “Soup and Sustenance: Winter Reading Series.” The first will be a discussion on Joel Salatin’s Folks, This Ain’t Normal: A Farmer’s Advice for Happier Hens, Healthier People, and a Better World. It will take place on Thursday, January 26, 2012 from 6-8 PM at the Beard Building (9 Main St., Cortland). On February 23rd, the book will be Raising Elijah: Protecting our Children in an Age of Environmental Crisis by Sandra Steingraber. On March 29th, the book will be But Will the Planet Notice? How Smart Economics Can Save the World by Gernot Wagner. Same location and time. These events are free and open to all. Soup and bread will be provided.
