Cortland First Fridays joins an informal nationwide movement to celebrate the arts in local communities on the first Friday of each month. Participating galleries, studios, artists, interested businesses, music and performing arts venues will be open to the public from 5PM to 8PM to spotlight the arts. January Venues: Cortland Free Library will be hosting the Child Development Council. They will be showcasing some children’s artwork. YWCA Cortland YWCA Cortland will host two events on First Friday, January 5th, 2018. Paintings from Recent Picture House Workshops: The YWCA January exhibit features paintings by students attending the three most recent painting workshops sponsored by the Picture House. These three workshops took place in Barcelona in September, 2016, at Cow House Studios in Ireland at the end of March, 2017, and at Chateau Mer in Maine last September. The exhibit will be refreshed with new paintings in February. AND Mentor Appreciation Night on Friday, January 5th 5-7PM. Appetizers and fellowship
