Stephanie Bostic will present findings from a qualitative pilot study exploring the food preparation experiences of older adults in Tompkins and Schuyler Counties . The study was based on in-depth interviews exploring food preparation experiences throughout the life course, with a focus on how and why current practices evolved. Key findings that will be presented include 1) types of food preparation trajectories; 2) culinary adaptive strategies adopted in response to life transitions; and 3) cultural domains of food preparation methods. Stephanie Bostic is a PhD Candidate in Community Nutrition at Cornell University .
