Have you been to The Shoppes at Johnny Appleseed? Just outside of Cazenovia, right off Route 20, is one of the most interesting collections of vendors and artists in the area.
Johnny Appleseed is family owned and welcoming to many local crafters, artists and patrons alike. From big to small, the Shoppes host over sixty vendors in this historic and vast, Central New York location.
The Shoppes offer furniture, antiques, artwork, glass, jewelry, wreaths, candles, soaps & lotion, pottery, woodwork, niche, women’s clothing, vinyl records, hypertufa, birdhouses, greeting cards, dried flowers, and other practical home items, as well as locally sourced food items such as honey, jelly, candy, eggs and maple syrup.
The Apple Kitchen, located within the Shoppes is open every Weekend
and offers freshly made soups, along with signature grilled sandwiches, like the classic Reuben, the rich & cheesy Monte Cristo and pulled pork with coleslaw. Chef Patrick also bakes desserts like apple crisp and carrot cake, along with delicious cookies, brownies and cupcakes.
The Apple Kitchen is also available for catering and private parties.
One thing people say after shopping in the store is that they had no idea how big this place is! With 20,000 square feet of space, there is no limit to the items you can discover.
The Shoppes at Johnny Appleseed are open year-round, Wednesday through Sunday, and the Apple Kitchen is open weekends, with a sunny view of a pond and rolling hills in the background. Johnny Appleseed is also wheelchair friendly.
