Not many know that central New York is currently suffering a NY state licensed massage therapist shortage. After many schools closed for various reasons, those left practicing can be overbooked, injured, or going through some form of burnout.
The Global Heart Healing Center where Déjà Vu is housed, is no different. We are down to one therapist and are actively looking for New York State Licensed Massage Therapists that would like to be a team player on a great team with lots of amenities. If you know anyone like that, please send them our way. Until then, we anxiously await the graduating classes of other schools, for example, the newest and closest school, Northeast College at Seneca Falls.
In the meantime, to ease the burden of lack of therapists, we are offering that if you have a gift certificate, package, or prepaid session for Global Heart, you are invited to bring yourself and a friend to come sit in the electric massage chairs in Deja Vu, free of charge. The massage chairs sit side by side and are normally priced at $20 for 30 minutes each but are on sale for $10 for 30 minutes each for the whole month of January. Fellow massage therapists, law enforcement, first responders, medical staff and teachers are all also invited to come sit in the chairs, free of charge.
The entire store of Deja Vu is also 10% OFF for the month of January and an extra 5% if you pay in cash. Those holding massage credit are also welcome to use their credit in Deja Vu.
Deja Vu Hours are Tuesday-Friday 12-4:30 and Saturdays 12-6. Deja Vu is our merchandise section located in the front part of the Global Heart Healing Center at 143 Main St., Cortland. (607 727 8100)
We have vintage, thrift, antiques, sterling silver jewelry, world goods such as tapestries and incense and beautiful healing stones that come to us from the Vestal Crystal Resource Center. We are still working to pay for these completely, so your support really matters!
