The Country Moose, located at the Richford Plaza at the intersection of State Routes 79 and 38, has been busy setting up new crafters and antique consignments. The shop is full of beautiful and unusual antiques and collectibles, as well as several new crafters and artists. A treasure trove of goodies and a must stop for antique hunters and shoppers looking for that special find or unique gift.
Shop owners, Geoff and Dawn Potter are always on hand and eager to assist shoppers to locate that special item, or just visit with shoppers passing through the area. Dawn is always pleased to see what various and unusual items that folks bring in for consignment or just searching for an appraisal of its value.
Several new arrivals of old and beautiful wooden furniture are also sprinkled throughout the store. Antique tables, china closets, sideboards, end tables, chairs, secretaries, and desks are on display and available for sale.
The shop also has a 70% off table, loaded with various antiques and collectibles on sale. And each hour and half hour, the shop fills with various chimes from over a dozen clocks alerting shoppers of the time.
The Country Moose is always happy and eager to support and participate in community events and is a proud supporter of the Richford Potato Festival, held every third Saturday in September. Already scheduled for next year’s festival is Tailor Made Country Music Band who will be performing on the plaza sidewalk the entire afternoon. Mark your calendars and plan to attend. With the holiday season fast approaching, the Country Moose will soon have their Christmas corner filled with various ornaments, gifts, and seasonal decorations.
The Country Moose is open every Thursday through Monday from 11am-7pm. Plan to take the short drive to Richford and visit the Country Moose. While you’re at the plaza, stop in and enjoy something to eat and drink at the Richford Pizza Plus restaurant, located at the end of the same plaza.
