Country Moose

Country Moose is Preparing for the Holidays

Posted by  //  November 20, 2022  //  Local Business

With the arrival of Thanksgiving, this week means that Christmas is right around the corner and the shopping season is in full bloom.  The Country Moose is on board and ready for shoppers to stop by and browse, enjoy the many items for sale, and pick up gifts for those special folks on their list.

New crafters are being added to the marketplace each week with a wide array of gifts, ranging from jewelry, towels, paintings, gnomes, knitted and crocheted wares, Americana, travel cups, aprons, pot holders, cloth books, resin coasters, candles, soaps, and much, much more.

Antiques and collectibles are also coming in every day with new and unusual items.  The Potters enjoy meeting folks who enter their shop with that old item from Grandma’s house, or something that they can’t identify.  Dawn enjoys meeting visitors to the Country Moose with an item in their hands, and helping them identify and put a price on it that is amenable for everyone involved.  Consignments are welcome and displayed at a reasonable rate.  Just ask her what the process is and how to make the Country Moose display and sell your item or group of wares.

Located at the Richford Plaza at the intersection of Routes 38 & 79 makes it a convenient stop with plenty of parking.

Folks coming to the Country Moose during Black Friday will receive a special gift.

In addition, this coming Saturday, November 26, Cool Radio 106.7 will be broadcasting from the Country Moose from 3-4pm.  Various crafters and vendors will be at the shop presenting their wares and items for sale.  There will also be specials during the broadcast as well as refreshments to enjoy while visiting and shopping.

And…Santa will be at the Country Moose to greet customers and help them with gift suggestions between 3-4pm.  He and Mrs. Clause are eager to visit the Country Moose and visit with everyone.  And children are more than welcome to come shop with an adult and visit with Santa, with their list of things they’d like for Christmas.

Later, that same day, the Richford Plaza will have their annual lighting of the Veterans Memorial Tree.  Folks are invited to stop at the shops at the Richford Plaza and  buy a bulb in memory of their favorite veterans.  Bulbs are $4 each and will be hung on the tree for the Holiday season.  Santa will also be there to read the names with a representative from the Owego VFW prior to the lighting.  All proceeds from the bulb sales will be donated to the local VFW.  Afterward, bulbs are available for pick-up at the Country Moose.

Any questions, or if you would like more information, call and talk with Dawn at 607-280-9750.  She is available and happy to assist.

Stop by the Country Moose today and enjoy the experience!
