November 9 – AARP 6-Hour “Smart Driver” Program

A six-hour AARP “Smart Driver” refresher course geared for drivers aged 50 and older, but open to drivers of any age, is being offered on Saturday, November 9 from 9:00am-4:00pm in the first floor assembly room at Guthrie Cortland Medical Center’s Rehabilitation and Nursing Center located on Alvena Avenue in Cortland. Participants are encouraged to bring a sweater or jacket and your AARP Membership card for a discount on the class fee which can be paid only by check, money order or cash. A one hour lunch break will be provided.
This course is approved by the N.Y.S. Department of Motor Vehicles for points and insurance reduction.
Pre-registration is required by calling the Cortland County Health Department at 758-5509. Class may be rescheduled due to lack of registrations, and walk-ins might be turned away.
This class is sponsored by AARP and Cortland County’s Health Department, Area Agency on Aging, and the Retired and Senior Volunteer Program.
