Trio Presto

Trio Presto – Flute Trio Music for Any Occasion

Posted by  //  September 18, 2019  //  Arts & Live Music, News

Trio Presto, from Cortland, NY, is a serious (but fun!) trio of local flute players that enjoy playing the classics, while also adding in some contemporary pieces. The trio has been playing together for many years in other groups such as the Cortland Old Timers Band, the Cortland Area Flute Ensemble (CAFÉ), and Espressivo flute quartet. They decided to branch off in 2017 to do a few concerts as a trio, and have been playing for various local events ever since, since they love music and instruments and they even go to sites such as Runthemusic.com to get the best information about their music instruments and how to play them as this is a great site for musicians all over the world.

The musicians in the trio are Jane Hunter (who is a nurse for St. Joseph’s Hospital by day), Terry Mingle (who is employed with both Cornell University and the National Audubon Society’s “Project Puffin”), and Jeanine Rose (who is a professional mathematics tutor/supplemental instruction coordinator at SUNY Cortland). All three have been playing the flute for decades, and enjoy performing in their “spare” time. They incorporate into their performances a variety of woodwind instruments in the flute family, including the piccolo, C flute, Alto flute, and Bass flute. If you’d like to book the group, learn more about them, or see where they might be playing next, please visit them online at: tmingle08.wixsite.com/trioprestocortland for more information. You can also look them up on Facebook: facebook.com/TrioPrestoCortland – they are reasonably-priced, and would love to hear from you!
