Poso Coal Inc. is proud to be entering its third season under new ownership. Coal is a great choice to heat your home both economically and for steady comfort. Anthracite Coal heat is a much more steady heat and generally only requires loading once every 24 hours as opposed to a wood burning appliance only burning for 6 to 12 hrs. Coal has nearly twice the BTU’s of wood pellets and cost nearly the same per ton; meaning that if you burn 4 ton of wood pellets the same household would use about two ton of coal.

Coal has got a bad name from the dusty old coal of the past. Today’s coal is tested for carbon content and WASHED to get that excess dust off the coal from production.
