Groton Old Home Days 2019 – August 22nd 23rd & 24th

This year’s festival will be a 3 day celebration.  Groton has been proudly celebrating Olde Home Days for over 100 years, attracting thousands of people!

Local businesses will be holding and sponsoring sidewalk sales, giveaways and free entertainment, 

Such as, Cornell birds of prey, Magicians, Ithaca physics bus, Petting Zoo, Pony rides, Meet and Greet with Paw Patrol and so much more.  There will be a huge Groton Historical Craft and Collectables show this year on the Boulevard Saturday 9am to 5pm. The 2nd annual car show hosted by the Groton Cruisers Club will take place on Saturday at a new bigger location on Main Street Behind the C.R. pavilion from 10AM to 1PM with $100 cash prize to people’s choice.

A family friendly, old fashioned carnival “Playland Amusements” will join us again this year with the midway opening at 6PM on Thursday, Friday, and Noon on Saturday.  This will be Fun for the entire family, with rides, games, and classic carnival food. CirqOvation with The Superstar Supershow will be back again this year on Saturday in the lot on Main St near the C.R pavilion.  CirqOvation will be doing 2 Spectacular Superstar Shows for everyone to enjoy. Showtime’s: 3PM & 7PM. We are very excited to announce this years Old Home Days will end with a Fireworks show on Saturday around 9:30PM (dusk).  Fireworks will be set off on Main Street far back behind the C.R pavilion in the empty lot. Please be cautious of the roped off areas no entry into these areas; emergency and firework personal only! We will have seating in and around the C.R pavilion.  Please bring your lawn chairs to enjoy the show.

  • Thursday: 6:30PM – The Olde Timers Band (Groton Legion)
  • Thursday: 6-8PM – TEEN/KID DANCE  with DJ Kelly Davis *Everyone welcome Hosted by the Groton Girl Scouts*
  • Friday: 6:30 – 8:30PM – Acoustic Duo with Josh Dwyer & Joel Kane – Country, Bluegrass, Blues (C.R Pavilion Main St)
  • Friday: 8:00 – 11:00PM – Chasing Neon (Groton Legion)
  • Saturday: 7PM – Pittsford Marching Band (Groton Legion)
  • Saturday: 8:00 – 11:00PM – Ten Man Push (Groton Legion)

We have so much more exciting activities and free entertainment planned throughout the village Including:  Cayuga Nature Center, Ross Park Zoomobile, Sir James Magic and Balloon Art, Motorcycle and Bike show, Annual Art Show, 11th Annual Vern Morton Photo Show and Wagon rides.  Lots of food and free family entertainment planned for this 3 Day Event, with the Grand Parade Saturday at 6pm.
