13th Annual Cortland Arts & Wine Festival – Saturday, August 3

Saturday, August 3, 2019 is the 13th annual Arts & Wine Festival from 10-5 in historic Courthouse Park.   This event annually draws many artists and artisans with items available to purchase for gift giving throughout the year from paintings to pottery, jewelry to wooden utensils and bird houses, and more.  A full list is available on the Council’s website.   

Children and adults alike will enjoy listening or moving to music all day long by favorite performers from around the region.  There are also special performances and fun activities for children both in and out of the Kids’ Tent. There is a puppet show and puppet-making workshop by Lily Silly and performance by Nate Marshall, whom you may have seen perform as Nate the Great.  A full schedule of music and Kids’ Tent activities is included below. Additionally, between 11 am and 4 pm people of all ages are encouraged to join the sidewalk chalk art competition. 

The Wine Tent will have returning and new vendors for  open from noon-5 pm for those 21+ with valid IDs.  There will be some interesting new wines, including vegan prosecco and ciders for sampling and purchase that you don’t want to miss. Advanced sale tickets for the wine tent are $16 online before the event.  They are $20 at the Festival. All other events are free.  

There will be a wide assortment of foods and beverages available in the food court from which to select. The cuisine ranges from street noodles and rice bowls to tacos, barbecue, salads, and more. Milkshakes, juices, smoothies, and other drinks will be available as well as snack foods and some specialty chocolates.  

The Festival is presented by the Cultural Council of Cortland County in keeping with our mission to support the arts & culture in Cortland County.
