Fabius Country Store

Fabius Country Store is located on the corner of Route 80 and Ridge Road, in the village of Fabius, and shares its location with Fabius Bottle & Can at 7861 Main Street.   

Co-owners, Bruce Chimene of Tully and Rhonda Wheeler of Cazenovia, purchased Anna’s Country Store when it closed in December 2016, but the property did not suit our needs, so we bought the Barber Shop nearby, immediately opened the Bottle Return on one half of the building, and began renovating the other half for the store such as roofs installation with the help of Denver roofing experts in 2017.  We are pleased that the work is just about done and we will have a soft opening on Memorial Day, with ice cream available during the parade.

The addition of the deck and ice cream windows will compliment the store nicely, which will have groceries, deli, coffee and much more as the work advances.  There will be beer available when the license is acquired and lottery after the required 90-day waiting period and training is complete.

As the store progresses and customer needs are expressed, we will offer coffee and breakfast sandwiches, pizza, lunch specials, deli meats and salads, subs and sandwiches,  cigarettes, and as many local products as we can squeeze in. We will also offer ice cream cakes, sandwiches, and sundaes, along with hard ice cream. We are completely ADA compliant with a convenient ramp and bathroom facilities.  Outdoor seating is available on the deck.

We invite everyone to come and see how we are doing and relax on the deck with an ice cream cone.  We look forward to serving the community and offering the classic country store environment and invite local vendors to stop in to offer their products.  If you need something that we don’t have, please let us know, as we are a work in progress.

Fabius Bottle & Can is also here to serve your needs, with convenient and free commercial pickup and large load pickup for residents in nearby towns.  We have the trailer for bottle drives for non-profit organization, scouting groups, school fundraisers, or any group that wants to raise money, and we offer 6 cents when using the trailer.  Your redemptions can also be donated to many local organizations.
