Are you interested in walking through history?  The Central New York Living History Center is the place for you!  Conveniently located at 4386 US Route 11 between Cortland and Homer, our three component museums offer something for everyone.  We like to pride ourselves on Trucks, Trains and Tractors, but there is so much more!

The Brockway Truck Museum is devoted to the history and trucks that were produced here in Cortland County from 1875 until 1977.  From furniture and carriages to heavy diesel trucks, the history of this local company put this area on the map as Huskietown USA.  Not to be missed, are the Brockway Truck Days August 8 – 11.

For the train enthusiasts, The Homeville Museum will not disappoint.  Model trains will take you back to your childhood and the mockup of the Lackawanna RR Engine 2107 will truly amaze you.  Local history and Military Memorabilia dating back to the Civil War, from the Ken Eaton Collection, round out this one of a kind museum.  Our Civil War Reenactment takes place on June 8 – 9.

Lastly, the Big Red Barn on the property, is the home of the Tractors of Yesteryears Collection.  This multi-colored collection of vintage tractors promises to be some of the most unique tractors that you have ever seen.  In “Grandma’s Kitchen”, you will find items that made up the heart of the home in years past. Don’t miss the Vintage Tractor Pull on June 15.

Intrigued?  Come walk through history with us:  Tuesday – Saturday, 10 AM – 5 PM; Sundays 1 – 5 PM, Memorial Day to Labor Day.  For more information, please visit our website www.cnylivinghistory.org.
