The Second Knob is in our 7th year and to say that it’s been an adventure would be putting things mildly! We’ve learned a lot about being in business, the upsides and the downsides! This year, we began working with crafters and vendors, selling their crafts/merchandise. We currently have 8 vendors in the store— and we truly love the creative-mix that their talents bring to our shop!  In-store vendors pay a small space rental and a very low consignment fee on all sales. Vendors who maintain their spaces and frequently add additional items do really well. Local crafts is a wonderful complement to the line of urban farmhouse and country décor lines we currently carry!

Just a few months ago, we invested in a line of mineral chalk paints, which many crafters absolutely LOVE! Dixie Belle Mineral Chalk paints come in a wide variety of colors and container sizes— and this line is incredible to work with! We plan to have a paint and create activity next month to showcase Dixie Belle and invite customers to have a little fun while learning to apply it— follow us on Facebook so you can sign up for the craft, as space is limited.

Our second year of flea markets has gone well— the markets are held on the second Sunday of every month, May thru October. The market attracts all kinds of traffic and our vendors have reported pretty good sales. The next flea market is on Sunday, Oct 14th and there is still time to sign up for a 12×12 space for just $30.

Of course, we have to point out the incredible selection of antiques, collectibles and vintage items in our lower level and placed throughout the shop. The beauty of the older pieces is definitely in the quality and often in the history!  Andy works hard to rotate the antiques and collectibles downstairs— in addition to unpacking some good finds from his barns just for the flea markets!

Come in and check us out today! We are open Tuesday-Saturday from 10:30-5:30 and Sunday 12-5…and don’t forget that the last flea market this year is Sunday, October 14th from 9am-4pm!
