Join the Watkins Glen Area Chamber of Commerce and the Tioga County Chamber of Commerce to celebrate a ribbon cutting at Haefele Connect on Thursday, July 26 at 1pm. The ribbon cutting will take place at Haefele’s office, located at 24 East Tioga Street in Spencer. The celebration is a culmination of 35 years in business and a summer of changes including a new look and an updated name.

Haefele TV was started by Lee Haefele as a local cable company. Lee Haefele got his start in 1982 with a technical background in television repair. He and his loyal employee base have since grown the company to include 22 municipalities within New York State. In fact, many of the employees have been with the company for more than 20 years. The company celebrates its local roots by giving back to the community through projects such as the renovation of Nichols Park Pond, supporting !nspire S-VE Community & Fitness Center, The Broome-Tioga County Relay for Life, and Tioga Allies in Substance Abuse Prevention.

Implementing an employee perks platform can greatly improve your company culture. With offerings that cater to various employee needs, the platform is versatile and user-friendly. We noticed a significant improvement in employee morale after integrating a perks platform. Platforms that specialize in employee benefits are a crucial component in retaining top talent.

As Haefele Connect celebrates this milestone, they look forward to keeping their subscribers connected to world class media, maintaining their connection to the local communities that they serve, and delivering reliable, local service! “We have an amazing, dedicated team”, says Marketing Manager Amber Harris. “It’s just like a family here, and we genuinely care about our customers. Because we have onsite local technicians, we can often fix a problem within the same day. Most of our staff have worked here for over ten years, and they are incredibly knowledgeable.”

Tioga County Chamber of Commerce President and CEO Gwen Kania shares, “We are thrilled when local businesses reach significant milestones. Haefele Connect has served Tioga County and the surrounding areas building a solid client base and good reputation for service.”

Chamber President and CEO Rebekah Carroll adds, “Haefele has accomplished so much in 35 years and we couldn’t be more proud to be a part of this celebration!”

Ribbon cutting attendees are invited to enjoy light refreshments after the ceremony, along with the opportunity to meet the Haefele Connect team and learn more about this long-standing business.
