Have you been to the CNY Living History Center lately?  We have a lot happening from events to starting our summer capital projects!  If you’ve driven by lately you’ll notice that our road sign is now up! The wiring for the electrical components will be done after the first phase of our parking lot restoration which is also beginning this month!  So it might look a little messy in our lot soon but bear with us as all of these improvements will give you, our visitors, a much better museum experience! But all of these capital improvements don’t mean that we are closed!  We have plenty of events happening this summer for the whole family to check out!

On Saturday June 30th, we have the host of the TV show Car Fix, Lou Santiago, coming to judge our own hot rod show here at the CNY Living History Center!  We partnered up with the folks from 7 Valley Street Rods and Automotive Lift Institute to bring Lou and these hot rods to Cortland. $10 admission will get you into the hot rod show, an autograph from Lou himself, and of course into our 3 museums on site!  The museum will open at 10 that Saturday and will run until 5. This is going to be a show you won’t want to miss! On July 14th will be our Summer Craft Show which will take place both inside and outside the museum.  Come that Saturday and browse a wide assortment of crafts and hand made goods. If you are interested in being a vendor please contact the museum.  Also don’t forget about the Route 90 Sale happening at the end of July too! Start the sale off right here at the CNY Living History Center July 26th, 27th, and 28th with our annual Summer Rummage Sale.  And of course, last but certainly not least, the National Brockway Truck Show is on August 11th.  Last year we had over 140 trucks register for the parade and we are expecting even more to register this year as we inch ever closer to our 20th Annual show in 2019.  If you have any questions for us reach out to us with the contact information below or check us out online!

We are now open on Sundays from 1 to 5 until Labor Day, September 2nd so now you have six days to choose from to visit.  Also don’t forget to follow us on Facebook and Instagram @CNYLivingHistory!  For any specific questions feel free to email us at cnylivinghistory@gmail.com or give us a call at 607-299-4185.  Come take a walk through history with us!
