Frozen Ocean Motorsports Facility

Frozen Ocean Motorsports Facility began in March of 1987, when the Denman family carved the track out of their back pasture fields. For more than 30 years, Bill Denman and his sons put their blood, sweat, and tears into making Frozen Ocean one of the greatest motocross tracks in the country.

On Bill Denman’s 80th birthday, he passed the torch to Ryan Walczak. Ryan first rode the challenging course as a young teen. It was actually the first track he ever practiced on. Now, with the help of his wife Jessica, friends, and family, he will assist the Denman’s in continuing the legacy of Frozen Ocean.

Currently, the facility sits on 66 acres overlooking Skaneateles Lake and the surrounding Finger Lakes area at 4415 Vanderstouw Road, Auburn. There is a challenging Night Cross track, a Super Cross track, a practice track for 50cc riders, an off-road track for ATVs and side x sides, and a clay oval for go-kart racing. Frozen Ocean is a full-service facility with a pavilion, flush toilets, concession stand and merchandise for sale.

Frozen Ocean also hosts “mud bog” family friendly events for all ages with free wagon and fire truck rides throughout the day. They also have a concession trailer at all events and live bands most of the time. Anyone who comes for an event weekend can also camp for no additional cost.
