Posted by Dustin Horton // January 8, 2018 // Calendar of Events
Want to raise money for a “not-profit entity”? How about eating pancakes at the 48th Annual Central New York Maple Festival, to be held on April 7 & 8? To enter the April 7th contest, held at 9 a.m. in the Marathon High School Auditorium, contestants must send a post card or letter to: Pancake Eating Contest, P.O. Box 291, Marathon, NY 13803 stating the name and address of the Not for Profit organization and the contact person, along with the name, address and telephone number of the “pancake eater”. Once an applicant has been accepted, they along with the “not for profit” organization can begin soliciting pledges per pancake or out right donations for the April 7th contest. All money raised goes to the organization, plus the CNY Maple Festival kicks in too! This is a fun way to raise money and celebrate the coming of spring in Marathon where all things are maplely sweet on Maple Festival Weekend.
