November 16-17 – PS: It Works!

The “PS: It Works!” strength-based communication skills training will be offered onThursday and Friday, November 16 & 17, 8:30am-4:30pm each day. Designed for use by a broad range of human service practitioners, social workers, teachers, parents, and others who interact with people across the age spectrum, this training will cover skill streaming and the five communication skills: Encouragement, Can Do, Shared Decision Making/Choices, Self-Controland Respecting Feelings from the Parenting Skills Workshop Series©, a Cornell Cooperative Extension publication. Participants will develop a foundation for understanding, using, and teaching the five skills to others, and referring people to and facilitating the 8-week workshop series, Parenting: the Hardest Job in the World. Preregistration is required. Registration includes training, lunch and snack on both days, and the Parenting Skills Workshop Series© manual.
