October 4 – Seed Saving 101

In this hands-on class, participants will learn the basics of saving flower and vegetable seeds including: what types of home garden plants can be saved; how to harvest, clean and process; basics of saving wet-seeded crops such as tomatoes and peppers; and how to store seed. We’ll go outside to harvest different types of vegetable and flower seeds from the CCE gardens, then clean the seeds using different techniques and tools.
