October 30 & 31 – AARP “Smart Driver” 2-Day Course

A six-hour AARP “Smart Driver” refresher course geared for drivers aged 50 and older, but open to drivers of any age, is being offered over two days on Wednesday, October 9 and Thursday, October 10 from 1:30pm-4:30pm at the Scott Senior Center located in the United Methodist Church on State Route 41in Scott.
This course is approved by the N.Y.S. Department of Motor Vehicles for points and insurance reduction.
Preregistration is required by calling the Cortland County Health Department at 758-5509. Participants are encouraged to bring your AARP Membership Card for a discount on the class fee, which can be paid only by check, money order, or cash, and a sweater or jacket. Way2Go, in partnership with AARP, offers the nationally recognized “Smart Driver” workshop, held over 2 days on October 30 & 31, 9:00am-12:30 each day. Participants must attend BOTH sessions and must bring their driver’s license and AARP card (if a member) to class. Course participants receive a three-year insurance discount for completing the course and can reduce up to four violation points on their driver’s license. Suitable for drivers of all ages. Cost: $20/AARP members, $25/non-members payable at the first class by check or money order, payable to AARP. Questions?
