Groton Olde Home Days 2017 – August 24th, 25th & 26th

This year’s festival will go back to a 3 day celebration.  Groton has been proudly celebrating Olde Home Days for over 100 years, attracting thousands of people!

Local businesses will be holding sidewalk sales, giveaways and free entertainment,

such as, Wildlife shows, Magicians, Lots of Musical entertainment, barbecues, and more. There will be a big Craft and Collectables show on the Boulevard Saturday 9am to 5pm.  Sponsored by the Groton Historical Society.

A family friendly, old fashioned carnival “Playland Amusements” will join us with the midway opening at 6PM on Thursday, Friday, and Noon on Saturday.  This will be Fun for the entire family, with rides, games, and classic carnival food.  Also joining us is “Shadows of the Old West” with a real wild west tent town and re-enactments of the old west. You will be able to stroll through a real western camp and learn the cowboy way of life.

Free Music Entertainment Lineup:

  • Thursday 6:30 – 9pm: The Olde Timers Band (Groton Legion)

  • Friday 7pm: The Vitamin L Band, with uplifting inspiring music for the young and young at heart.  (Conger Blvd)

  • Friday 8:30 – 11:30pm: Marty Flynn and the Goodtime Band (Groton Legion)

  • Saturday 3 – 5pm: Logan & Mack  2nd Chance Band (Groton legion)

  • Saturday 8:30 – 11:30pm:  Bendher Band (Groton Legion)

We have so much more exciting activities and entertainment planned throughout the village Including:  Jump around inflatables, Cornell Raptors, Physics bus, The Game truck,  Justin Wood entertainment,  Ross Park Zoomobile, Sir James Magic and Balloon Art,  Silly Lilly Puppet Show,  Pony Rides,  a Petting Zoo, and Laser Tag.  Lots of food and free family entertainment planned for this 3 Day Event, with the Grand Parade Saturday at 6pm.
