Purple Buckets For Apple Country’s Relay for Life

Nightingale’s Tully Lakes Hardware is proud to support the American Cancer Society’s Relay for Life. This year’s local event is the Relay for Life of Apple Country, which will be held at Beak & Skiff Orchards on June 10th.  Relay is a team fundraising event where team members take turns walking around a track or designated path. Each event is 6-24 hours in length and each team is asked to have a member on the track at all times to signify that cancer never sleeps.

Nightingale’s employees have entered as a team in the Relay for Life and will also be raising money by hosting a purple bucket promotion at the store. From now until the Relay for Life, customers at Nightingale’s can purchase a five gallon purple bucket for $5.99 and the proceeds from each bucket sold will be donated to the American Cancer Society. Additionally, customers can save 20% off almost anything they can fit inside the bucket when they are shopping (Some exclusions apply- stop by the store for details). Paper luminarias are also being sold at the store to benefit the Relay for Life. Luminarias honor every life touched by cancer. You can dedicate them to a loved one lost, someone currently battling, or anyone who’s overcome it. When you attend a Relay event, you’ll see the Luminarias decorated with names and sometimes messages to the people they’re dedicated to. After dark, Relay participants share an emotional moment when each Luminaria is lit in remembrance of a life touched by cancer. When you make a donation for a Luminaria it helps fund the American Cancer Society’s mission to help save lives.
