What is Small Business Saturday?

In 2011, the year our business kicked off, governors, mayors, senators and even President Obama voiced support for an initiative to promote shopping small businesses— and the US Senate officially recognized Small Business Saturday.

In 2012, with heavy promotion from American Express stressing Small Business Saturday as a “Neighborhood” or “Community” Experience versus a “Shopping” experience, an estimated 73.9 million people went out to shop at small businesses!

While our shop will be closed on Thanksgiving Day (11/24) because we want our staff to really enjoy the day with their family, we will be open on Black Friday (11/25) and will offer free coffee to tired Black Friday Shoppers. From December  1-10, Shots by Shana Photography will be offering Stocking Stuffer Mini Sessions! These sessions will take approximately 20-30 minutes and feature a holiday display; two poses and ten edited images delivered on DVD with a print release. Print packages are also available!
