What are Artist’s 2nds?
Artist’s wares that are just slightly imperfect to the artist’s eyes, but often still useable, beautiful, and unique! Sometimes what an artist considers a “flaw” does not appear to be a flaw to another person – it can make the piece very interesting! We like to think of them as beauty marks. Every year our artist’s 2nds change, so there will be a lot of new work on sale this year – most of these treasures are things you won’t be able to find at Handwork on a normal day. It’s one of the best times to stock up on pottery and get a GREAT deal on local art and craft-work!
