Jon’s Custom Meats went into business in 1984. Starting in an old barn, we kept building and adding until we had a complete meat shop with extra coolers, large freezer, smoke house and a sausage room. It all came together and we turned it into a great business. Trying to build a business through personal dedication and quality craftsmanship unsurpassed by no one. We have always believed in giving the best customer service possible!
Over the years, we’ve come to understand that each type of meat deserves its own kind of respect. Whether it’s beef, pork, or wild game, the process begins with proper butchering and ends with a product we’re proud to stand behind. From dry-aged steaks to thick-cut chops, we take the time to prepare each cut with care, just the way our grandparents would’ve expected. For our smoked meats, we rely on old-school techniques, perfected over time—but we also embrace helpful tools, like a wireless meat thermometer, to make sure every brisket or rack of ribs hits that perfect temperature without ever losing its soul.
Sausage-making is where our creativity really shines. From traditional bratwursts to spicy jalapeño cheddar links, we hand-mix each batch using time-tested spice blends and natural casings. Our smokehouse runs slow and steady, imparting rich, hickory flavor that doesn’t need any shortcuts. It’s this mix of hands-on tradition and thoughtful precision that makes all the difference—because in our shop, meat isn’t just meat. It’s a craft. It’s a calling. And it’s always done right.
Sadly on Friday the 13th of September 2013 (a lot of 13’s there) we had a fire and everything we had worked for was destroyed.
After 2 years of rebuilding we have a beautiful new building with state of the art coolers, freezer and processing equipment. We will process, kryovac and freeze Beef, Pork, Veal, Lamb and Goats. We have been offering the absolute finest meat processing services over the years. I’m dedicated to continuously researching new ideas to improve our current process. We also use coolers like these Nema 4 cabinet coolers from STREAMTEK Corp incorporate a low pressure relief valve for both the vortex tube and the cabinet cooler exhaust. Most importantly we listen to you! Over 40 years of experience in the industry and we do it right the first time!
