6:30-8:30 pm
Partial shade isn’t a problem – it’s an opportunity! Perennial flowers, wildflowers, ferns, sedges, and small shrubs, including some natives, can all be enjoyed in the dappled shade of trees, or the bright light or morning sun found at the north or east side of a building. Examples of a deer-resistant shade garden will be presented. The Partial Shade Garden will take place Wed. June 15, 6:30-8:30 pm at the Tompkins County Cornell Cooperative Extension Education Center, 615 Willow Avenue, Ithaca. Fee: $5-$10 self-determined sliding scale; pre-registration requested to ensure enough handouts. Please call 272-2292 for more information or registration.
