March 26 – Maple Sugarin’ Day
Posted by Dustin Horton // January 17, 2016 // Calendar of Events
8am to 1pm, Lime Hollow Education Center, 3277 Gracie Road in Cortland. For Central New Yorkers, the coming of spring isn’t marked by the calendar. It’s marked by plumes of steam coming from sugar houses in full swing. That’s the signal to shed a layer and shake off months of cabin fever. For generations, making syrup has been more than a tradition- it’s been a rite of passage from winter to spring. Admission: Members $5, Under 12 $2; Non-Members $7, under 12 $3. For more information call (607) 662-4632, email info@limehollow.org, or visit limehollow.org.
