Title: The Jungle Sarus: Eastern Sarus Crane and its Habitats in the Mekong River Basin
Speaker: Tran Triet, director of the Southeast Asia Program for the International Crane Foundation
Description: The breeding Eastern Sarus Crane can only found in small wetlands located deep in the deciduous forests of Northern Cambodia. With population of fewer than 1,000 birds, a selective habitat requirement, and sensitivity to human disturbance, the Eastern Sarus Crane faces a very real threat of extinction.
