Allstate Foundation Donates $1000 to Defensive Driving Program at Cortland Junior Senior High School
Allstate Insurance agent Shirley Eizember, whose office is located at 41 Port Watson Street in Cortland, has received the Agency Hands in the Community Award for her commitment to volunteering in the community. With this award came a $1000 grant from The Allstate Foundation for Cortland Junior Senior High School, where Shirley volunteers.
“Shirley is an active and respected member of the business community, protecting customers with insurance and financial services products,” said Don Rubbo, New York regional sales leader at Allstate Insurance Company. “She also makes it a priority to dedicate her time and efforts to make a difference in people’s lives. The Defensive Driving Program at Cortland Junior Senior High School is a four-hour class designed to teach students to be aware of many of the typical driving hazards facing young motorists. Cortland Junior Senior High School is a school community committed to the individual success of each student. To this end they provide a challenging and engaging curriculum, as well as a broad program of co-curricular activities. Through academics, student activities, and athletics they strive to provide all students with multiple opportunities to develop abilities, express talents, exercise responsibility, and value learning.
