“Winter, Spring, Summer, Fall – There’s A Cow For All!”
Montgomery Park, Dryden
Rotary Dairy Dash and Parade down Main Street at 9:30am – The Parade is dedicated to the loving memory of three individuals: Frances Mary Schutt, Clyde Cotterill and Sib Stewart.
No admission, free parking at the Village Municipal Parking Lot and Dryden Fire Hall.
10:45a.m. – Opening Ceremony; introduction of Tompkins County Dairy Princess, Elizabeth Drake
Activities in Montgomery Park until 3 p.m. – carton of milk for 10 cents! Hand dipped ice cream cone for 25 cents! Family friendly games, bounce house, crafts/demonstrations/information booths, kindergarten coloring contest, live animal display, farm tractors and equipment on display – great food! Chicken BBQ, hamburgers, hot sausage, hot dogs, nachos, cake wheel, homemade pies and other goodies!
Plus live entertainment!
Beyond the festivities and camaraderie, events like these provide a platform to recognize the vital role of agriculture in our daily lives. Amidst the joyful atmosphere, there exists a parallel narrative of opportunity, where individuals with a passion for agriculture can find avenues to contribute to the industry’s growth and sustainability.
As families engage in games, crafts, and demonstrations, the backdrop of farm tractors and equipment serves as a subtle invitation to explore careers in agri business vacancies. Beyond the festivities, these events offer glimpses into the multifaceted nature of the agricultural sector, beckoning individuals with diverse skills and interests to embark on fulfilling careers that shape the future of food production and sustainability.

12:25 – 1:00: The ever popular “Mooing Contest”
