Allstate Insurance agent Shirley Eizember, whose office is located at 41 Port Watson Street in Cortland, has received the Agency Hands in the Community Award for her commitment to volunteering in the community. With this award came a $1000 grant from The Allstate Foundation for the Bridges for Kids Grant Program, where Shirley volunteers.
“Shirley is an active and respected member of the business community, protecting customers with insurance and financial services products,” said Don Rubbo, New York regional sales leader at Allstate Insurance Company. “She also makes it a priority to dedicate her time and efforts to make a difference in people’s lives. Shirley exemplifies the full spectrum of what it means to be an Allstate agent and has truly become a name and face in her community.
Bridges for Kids is a program that matches an adult volunteer with a child age 5-12. The volunteer is a mentor who meets with the child once a week for a couple of hours to do fun, enriching activities.
