1PM: THE FABIUS HISTORICAL SOCIETY will meet at the Fabius Community Center (7786 Main St., Rt. 80). Pamela Vittorio will present a program on the Erie Canal Superstitions. The Erie Canal boatmen were a “superstitious lot”. This presentation discusses the cultural origins of superstitions, along with some famous clairvoyants, mediums, and mysterious deaths on the canal. Free and open to the public. Refreshments will follow the program.
