Meeting at the Fabius Community Center (7786 Main St., Rt.80). Bill Casey will present a treasure trove of pictures of old Fabius. Jessie Saunders Shea, a former Fabius resident, took a great many photos from the time she married Mike Shea in 1910 until her untimely death in 1926. These photos include images of family members, local street scenes of Fabius village and surrounding areas of the town. The Shea/Demong family has allowed Bill Casey to digitally develop the 100+ year old negatives and produce a PowerPoint presentation based on Jessie’s work. A few years ago, Jessie’s daughter, Mary Shea Demong, identified these photos and left some notes which will help us better understand some of the negatives. Free and open to the public.
