November 16 – Guided Nature Hike – Be Our November Guest

Posted by  //  October 27, 2013  //  Calendar of Events

10am, Lime Hollow Visitor Center, 338 McLean Road in Cortland. We heartily agree with poet Robert Frost and think these dark days of autumn rain are beautiful as days can be. Bundle up and come seek the bare, the withered tree and walk the sodden pasture lane with our Senior Naturalist, Peter Harrity. We’ll seek the desolate, deserted trees, the faded earth, the heavy sky, and learn to know the love of bare November days before the coming of the snow. Of course bring your binoculars, magnifying glasses, field guides and a water bottle. There are some binoculars available to borrow. Hikes typically last an hour and a half. Free admission. For more information call (607) 662-4632or visit www.limehollow.org.
