Seven Valley Chorus

Seven Valley Celebrates

Posted by  //  October 2, 2013  //  Local Business

It’s hard to believe but the Seven Valley Chorus of Sweet Adelines is about to celebrate their 45th anniversary. The chorus was chartered on October 8, 1968 as the Cortland County Chapter of Sweet Adelines International but in 1990 changed their name to the Seven Valley Chorus to better represent their membership which comes from Cortland and Tompkins Counties.

To celebrate this sweet occasion, the chorus is hosting a “Sweets” Party on Tuesday, October 8th at their rehearsal hall at the First United Methodist Church, 734 Route 222 (Groton Avenue), Cortland. They invite all former members and guests, and all women who love to sing to party with them from 7 to 9pm. They’ll sing a little, eat a little, and remember some great moments in the past 45 years. Former members should call Diane at 844-4155 if they need ride.

To all women who love to sing, there is a place for you in the Seven Valley Chorus. The chorus will also start rehearsing shortly for the Christmas season and they would love to have you join them to celebrate the holiday season.

For more information, please contact Diane Colf at 844-4155 or visit their web site at www.sevenvalleychorus.com. Join the chorus on Tuesday, October 8th at 7pm at the First United Methodist Church to have a sweet time.
