October 5-6 – Traditions & Beyond 2013 Quilt Show

10am to 5pm, Tompkins CortlandCommunity College (TC3) FIeld House, Rt. 13, Cortland. Over 300 quilts, wearable art and soft sculpture will be on display, including a special exhibit of area signature quilts. Vendor’s mall, a book sale, quilt turning sessions, demonstrations, appraisals by Genie Barnes – one of the first five certified appraisers in the nation, and a silent auction of over 60 small quilts. Purchase a ticket or six for the opportunity to win our show quilt, New York Clambake, designed by a guild member, machine pieced and hand appliquéd by 40 guild members and longarm quilted by Debbie Sanford of O’Susannah’s Quilts & Gifts. This quilt will be published in Lark Books’ Showcase 500 Traditional Quilts. Presented by the Tompkins County Quilters Guild.
